To begin a project, we need the CAD files and a set of PDF plans. These two documents work hand in hand with each other and are crucial to the map and modeling process.
Absolutely. By sending whatever files you have, we may be able to get an idea of the project, completion time, and price.
If there is a revision to a previous completed project, we ask that you CC all files to [email protected] with an idea of when it is needed by.
We have created a client portal for our clients to upload and download files. You can access this portal by selecting ‘Client Portal’ along the top bar on this site. Next, enter your email and the password provided to you by Andie in our office. If you do not remember your password, please contact [email protected] and we can provide you with it.
All completed files are placed in our Sharefile Client Portal. The files remain in there for 60 days and then expire. If needed, we can always re-post the files into the portal to make them available for another 60 days.
We typically plan about two weeks to work on maps and models. If you have an earlier deadline, we are always willing to try and accommodate, but ask you to make that request upfront.
Simply email a current set of PDF plans to us at [email protected]. If the files are too large to email, send us an email including your contact information and request a link to our Sharefile portal and we would be happy to get you set up!
To create a final deliverable, we would need a Current set of PDF Plans along with the associated design CAD files, the Survey Control Points and Benchmarks for the project.
The most common used form of 3D Data is a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) this would represent the elevations shown on your grading plan (Finish Grade). We can also create sub-grades, 3D pipelines, and structural foundation maps for footing excavation. Please keep in mind these additional items need to request as they add time and cost to the process.
Revisions are common on most projects. To process these revisions, we would need a revised PDF plan with clouded/identified areas along with the revised CAD file reflecting the changes.
Lead times may vary depending on the project size or complexity along with quality of the information we receive from the engineer. It is best to give ample lead time as possible. Once you have entered the digital world of 3D Automation you will realize how important it is to make the data prep a top priority! On average a typical site ranging from 1-5 acres has about a two-week turnaround time. As stated, this process can vary for reasons including our workload during the construction season.
As you know miracles are hard to come by but there are options to help get you out of the gate. Most projects have early items that need to be complete before site grading begins and you need a DTM. For instance, but not limited to land clearing, erosion control, construction entrances, temporary utilities, and topsoil stripping. We can usually get you a quick 2D map to begin staking out these types of items within 48hrs. This timeframe is achievable providing the control work (GPS Site Calibration) on site is complete. At that point we can fall back and complete your data or get you a critical portion of the site needed to continue while we finish the job. Of course, it is always best to get the files 100% before putting them out in the field
